Turn Your Wedding Dreams Into Reality With Hog Roast Bettiscombe

Hog Roast Bettiscombe’s catering superstars, Jack, Alistair and Rik, teamed up last month to bring Kirsty and Sam’s dream wedding menu to life, and boy did they succeed!

In the lead up to their spring nuptials, the happy couple had organised for our marvellous trio to serve a bespoke version of our Wedding Menu 6, which offers an indulgent three-course meal suited to more formal events like this one. This menu was exactly what Kirsty and Sam had in mind for their special day, but they were even more thrilled when our team offered to tweak the feast to better suit their tastes.

Hog Roast BettiscombeSo, after talking through their options, they asked us to drop the starter from the menu, which put more of a focus on the canapés. And choosing from our selection of flavourful minis, Kirsty and Sam selected our roasted halloumi & tomato crostini, roasted duck wraps & spring rolls, Scottish smoked salmon, chicken satay skewers, and vegetarian mini quiche.

When the day of the wedding arrived, Hog Roast Bettiscombe travelled to the iconic Marshwood Manor, where they spent the morning busily preparing the food for Kirsty and Sam’s woodland wedding. This included creating each and every canapé option from scratch, before serving them to guests as a buffet on rustic bamboo boards.

These bright and colourful arrangements were closely followed by a choice of either juicy free-range chicken or sumptuous slow-roasted lamb with creamy dauphinoise potatoes and a selection of fresh market vegetables, served on real China crockery with authentic silverware, which helped to elevate the elegance of the meal.

The guests, who were in complete awe over the food’s presentation, were even more impressed by the taste! And with that, it wasn’t long before Hog Roast Bettiscombe found themselves clearing away empty plates and encouraging the guests to help themselves to the buffet of sticky toffee pudding and profiterole dessert options. These incredibly tasty puds were followed closely by iced tea and coffee with a slice of wedding cake served in a napkin.

Kirsty and Sam’s big day couldn’t have gone better, and we are so thrilled that they trusted Hog Roast Bettiscombe for the monumental occasion!
