Celebrate The Half-Term Break With Hog Roast Highcliffe

While it doesn’t feel like it was all that long ago that the school’s broke for the Christmas holidays, you won’t be surprised to hear that they’re closing once again; this time for the spring half-term break. And with five days away from the classroom, you’re probably already asking yourself how you’re going to entertain your little one’s for an entire week, am I right?

Susan had the exact same thought. But after some contemplation, she decided to seize the opportunity and get the whole family together for a massive get-together. Not only would hosting a party allow her kids to interact with their cousins, but it would afford her and the other adults in the family the chance to unwind and relax for a few hours whilst the kids burned off some energy.

To make things even easier on herself, Susan had also decided that she didn’t want to run herself ragged by cooking for 50-something people. So, instead, she set out to find an affordable catering service that would do it for her. Yes, as you might have already guessed, she soon found Hog Roast Highcliffe, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Immediately, Susan was blown away by our vast assortment of menu options, each of which offers a meaty main, fresh salad, potato and veg sides and a meat-free alternative. Some of our menus, like the Alfresco Menu that Susan selected, also include extras like antipasti boards, dessert options, canapés and tea and coffee buffets for after. But on top of that, Hog Roast Highcliffe is always happy to help you design your own menu from scratch if that is something you are interested in.

Hog Roast HighcliffeFor Susan, our Alfresco Menu is perfect for what she has in mind. The Italian inspired meat, cheese and bread charcuterie boards are well-suited to the adults, and she’s confident that the traditional hog roast and chocolate torte and summer pudding desserts will be a real treat for everybody. But to make things a little bit more child-friendly (particularly for the youngest ones), she has asked us to include a platter of chicken, ham and cheese, tuna mayo and cucumber sandwiches as well.

As always, Jack, Hog Roast Highcliffe’s catering manager was more than happy to accommodate the client’s needs, and the whole team are very much looking forward to impressing Susan and her guests when the time comes next week!
