It’s been a long old summer wedding season here at Hog Roast Christchurch, but now the finish line us just about in sight.
As well you’ll know from our socials and these very blogs, the summer season at Hog Roast Christchurch is the wedding season. The same will go for most caterers; weddings tend to be at their height in the summer because everyone wants the weather to be on their side for their special day. When you have the venue of your dreams, you want to be able to make the most of its garden grounds or the views sliding away from it. The summer is simply the best time to all but guarantee you’ll get the most out of your venue and day.
That has meant that the last few months at Hog Roast Christchurch and indeed all of the Spitting Pig teams around the nation have been a marathon of weddings just about each and every weekend. Not that we’re complaining, of course! Wedding catering is and always be a total privilege for the Hog Roast Christchurch team, and so many of yours in the last few months have just been an absolute joy to be able to share in.
This past weekend’s wedding was another such special one. An excellent service held right here in Christchurch, where the Hog Roast Christchurch treated 70 guests to a vibrant
and tasty antipasti grazing table to kick things off and set a wonderful summery gibe around the reception, before then rounding things off with our signature hog roast dining experience.
Our antipasti grazing table has been a favourite this year. It’s place in the summer wedding season is just about unbeatable. When you’ve got the summer weather then you want a dining experience that matches the season too. Our al fresco range brings the finest Italian meats and cheeses with fresh salads and sides from the Med to deliver a real summer’s punch – along with a more British addition of sausage rolls and scotch eggs in this case. Following that up with our hog roast always goes down a treat, too. Our 70 guests came back in for seconds and even thirds in some cases, because you can just never get enough of something this special on your friend and loved one’s special day!
