Like any caterer, the wedding season is our favourite at Hog Roast Weymouth, so to have it kick into proper gear throughout May has been truly wonderful. Right from the very first bank holiday to the final sunny weekend, it has been a joy to serve so many special days this past month.
This past weekend we were delighted to close out May with a brilliant wedding service here in Weymouth once more. Right from the off, the Hog Roast Weymouth team were out front welcoming guests into the wedding reception. For every guest, we had a welcome glass of fizz awaiting them, while the rest of our team served out fresh and delicious canape bites. These were to help tide guests over to the main event, btu as ever with anything from Hog Roast Weymouth, they’re also wrapped with their own immense quality. To give you an idea so, we had pan seared fillets of beef served in a mini Yorkshire pudding with horseradish cream, handmade gourmet sausages with a honey and mustard glaze, roasted halloumi and tomato crostini, and Scottish smoked salmon served on fresh brown bread with cracked black pepper.
If you think that sounded great as an appetiser, just wait until you hear about our main dining buffet! The entire buffet centred around our signature dish, the hog roast. Cooked in the authentic spit style at the event, our roast is served along with crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and fresh apple sauce for even more juiciness in every bite. Our bride and groom also opted for the veggie alternative of grilled veg and halloumi skewers served with tzatziki dip and sweet chilli sauce. As a salad side, options of heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, red cabbage slaw, and seasonal mixed leaves. As it was a roast, you know we had to have our perfect golden roast potatoes in there too!
