Helen and Toby both love autumn, with Halloween being their favourite holiday. Because of this, they wanted to plan an October wedding, with a cosy and rustic theme featuring lots of warm lights, orange décor, and dried flowers. The venue they chose is a converted barn, which is perfect for creating an autumnal and cosy atmosphere and has plenty of room for their 120 guests to dine and party. For the catering, Hog Roast Langton Matravers was hired to serve a delicious buffet menu to the guests. We were told that the menu needed to embody the cosy and comforting theme, which is perfect for our team. Any menu with a slow-roasting hog is ideal for enjoying on a cold autumn evening, so we were more than happy to get involved.
In preparation for this wedding, the Hog Roast Langton Matravers team will arrive at the venue in the morning to prepare for the 7:00pm serving time. Our menu will include a delicious slow-roasted hog, served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving Thai chicken kebabs and halloumi and vegetable skewers to ensure that there is a main dish for everyone to enjoy. For the selection of sides, we will provide seasonal roasted vegetables, roasted baby potatoes, and homemade gravy, to create a hearty and warming evening meal. Our menu will be served buffet style to allow every guest to create their perfect meal from what we have to offer, with more than enough for seconds.
