2023 is already off to a busy start for the Hog Roast Weymouth team! The month might be young still, but our caterers have had a terrific time so far, as we have been rushed off our feet helping our clients with all kinds of fun and exciting events.
Just yesterday, we made an appearance at a local comedy club, where we had been hired to serve our Southern Slow Roast Menu to 90 guests who had purchased tickets for an evening of hilarity.
Best loved for the variety it offers, the Southern Slow Roast Menu is one of Hog Roast Weymouth’s most requested dining solutions. Featuring three tasty meat dishes, a veggie/vegan option and a selection of Deep South-inspired sides, this tantalising menu appeals to every set of taste buds, which is precisely why our client, Joel, had chosen it for this event!
Executing this iconic menu to the utmost perfection, our catering manager, Jack, had arrived at the venue hours before the meal was scheduled to be served, and this gave him all the time he needed to ensure that the food was on point.
From the choices available, Joel had asked us to prepare a buffet of Texan 24-hour beef brisket, Cajun-spiced whole roast chicken, and fall-off-the-bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs with BBQ-pulled jackfruit as the meat-free option.
As for the sides, the client wanted Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, all-American mac and cheese and mixed sweet potato and regular fries. We had also been asked to prepare a small choice of canapes for early arrivals. This saw us rustle up our handmade gourmet sausages, beer-battered mini fish and chips and a selection of mini pizzas, which we served on wooden bamboo platters.
Once again, Hog Roast Weymouth made cooking and catering to a room full of people look effortless. Working tirelessly, our team ensured that no one was left waiting too long for their food and that everyone had been served by the time the first comic was ready to perform.
