Hunters Hatch in South Perrott provided the perfect countryside setting for the wedding of Mr and Mrs Miller. With 58 guests gathered to celebrate, Hog Roast Beaminster was there to make sure the food was every bit as memorable as the occasion.
Catering Manager Jack and his team prepared a stunning menu that began with a whole roasted free range pig, cooked until the crackling was crisp and golden. It was served with freshly made apple sauce and homemade sage and onion stuffing, creating the kind of classic flavours that make hog roasts so special.
For those looking for vegetarian or vegan choices, we served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, with the halloumi omitted for vegan guests, accompanied by wraps, tzatziki dip and a sweet chilli sauce. We also offered our slow-simmered BBQ pulled jackfruit in a soft bun, steeped in smoky hickory BBQ sauce and topped with crunchy slaw. Both options were enjoyed by guests of all tastes.
The menu continued with marinated chicken thighs bursting with flavour, an array of freshly made salads including tomato and mozzarella, seasonal mixed leaves and our homemade gourmet coleslaw. Roasted baby new potatoes completed the spread, adding a comforting touch to the summer feast.
Served buffet-style, the presentation was just as inviting as the flavours. Surrounded by the charm of the Dorset countryside and the warmth of loved ones, this was a wedding meal that brought people together in the best possible way.
Hog Roast Beaminster was delighted to be part of such a joyful day and to create a menu that reflected the happy, relaxed atmosphere of the celebration.
